For over fifty years, and with over twenty patents and inventions to their name, AIT has earned the recognition of the eye care industry as "A leader in edging technology". This drive to set the standard in the ophthalmic market took its root in 1964 when AIT developed the "Super Dynamite". The introduction of this product into the optical community offered unprecedented gain in productivity and quality.

Throughout the years, AIT would continue to make contributions which would address the ever changing environment of eye care. AIT's owner, Yordan Vulich, would always meet those challenges by developing new technologies in edging equipment.

In 1975, the wholesale lab market needed a durable high volume edger. AIT responded to that need with the "Mark VI" Continuous Force Edger. When the retail market demanded more sophisticated equipment, AIT was the first to go digital with the introduction of a modern Motorola MCU microcontroller in 1979. The list of contributions go on and on, fortifying their long standing position in the industry.

Today, AIT continues its tradition as a leader in edging technology, with the Maxima Speed, Maxima and Practica Patternless Edging Systems.
