If the lenses pass the tests, then any non-plano lens of same or greater thickness at thinnest point, by the same manufacturer, of the same material, with the same coating may bear the “+” mark.

Because it is possible for lens materials, manufacturing processes, and coatings to change, re-testing should done yearly to ensure the manufacturing process and materials have not changed and to ensure lenses continue to meeting testing criteria. Your testing laboratory can give you more details regarding the time period.

Please note that a good testing protocol is to continue to have product tested annually. Keep in mind that changes can occur in equipment, materials, coatings, etc. Because any of those factors can affect the integrity of the product, specifically lenses, it is advised that testing is performed at least once a year. These test records should be filed for reference, especially in case of litigation.
