Manufacturers that are certified to ISO 9001-2000 are required to document their test procedures and to maintain test records. Testing should be performed by trained personnel using properly calibrated and maintained equipment. Suppliers of frames marked Z87-2 should be able to provide access to test documentation. Availability of this documentation is integral if a question of liability is addressed. When dispensing prescription safety eyewear, a good practice would be to ask about the availability of this documentation either from the manufacturer or from the laboratory that is finishing the product you dispense. |
