This test is not changed from the previous standard. Lenses and electrical parts are excluded from these requirements. Following is the method by which they are tested: Parts boiled in 10% aqueous solution of sodium chloride for 15 min. then immersed in same solution at room temperature, removed, and dried for 24 hrs. Parts then rinsed in lukewarm water & allowed to dry. The function of the spectacles shall not be impaired by the corrosion. |
